This piece was created for an exhibition celebrating the 10th anniversary of Sophia Stef gallery in Lambertville, NJ, on my return from a European river tour where I admired the decorative stone paving in numerous small towns along the Rhine.

Made of de-acidified paper from magazines, clothing catalogs, and trade advertisements with a background of acrylic paint on deep-cradled MDF board, protected with a UV light-scattering acrylic varnish. This piece is part of a set of two, with a third using the same collection of papers and the same concept in the works.
